The Huntington’s Disease Association exists to provide care, information and support to people affected by Huntington’s disease. Working together with a strong team of Regional Care Advisers that are located throughout all of England, the team helps patients and families live with the terrible disease. The Association offers a central information and support service which operates from the registered office in Liverpool. The main thrust of the Association’s work is the regional care advisory service. They work by providing support, information, care and training for those affected both directly and indirectly, by the disease. The aim is to seek to achieve the best possible care plan for individuals diagnosed, liaising with allied health and social care professionals, the families and carers who are also victims of the disease, yet are frequently overlooked.
